A balance of stones

Small stacks of stones stand on the sand, each one held in an unlikely balance. The rough surfaces, muted colours and different shapes give the photograph its detail. A little red breaks the quiet palette. The eye moves from one stack to another, looking at how they rest together. A simple beach scene with a sense of patience in it. Photograph by Paul Smith-Keitley.
